CHERRY TABLE  CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

The curly cherry lumber is first selected for grain and color, then surfaced and thickness planed

After selecting the best grain and color match, the boards for the top are glued and clamped together

The corners are cut at 45 degrees

A groove is routed in the table top.

And Peruvian black walnut is inserted as a detail

The front of the table contains two drawers. The individual pieces are cut from one board so that color and grain matches perfectly

The pieces are assembled and glued.

A special jig is used to sand the 45 degree edge of the legs

Mortise and tenon joints are used to attach the legs to the sides
